The east village hotel makes you feel welcome as soon as you arrive, the staff helped my wife and son in his pram (along with a colouring in book) while the Barman helped me pick some drinks, they have a vast range of beer, wine and everything in-between, they are very obliging. The food is also the best, you can tell they take time to prepare the food and hold a high standard. Not a far walk from the ferry port. Make this your next pub adventure.

Calamari was absolutely gorgeous and my partners fish and chips where great! They accommodated for my gf (coeliac) which was fantastic, however, the bread was average. Atmosphere what 100% and the staff where absolutely brilliant! Every though it was New Years they were attentive and helpful. I do appreciate the staff and how they worked around my allergy!

Would highly recommend if you're looking for a versatile, laid back function venue. The wonderful East Village Events team were so accommodating and helped us sort out all the details for a flawless event for 80 people in the stunning beer garden. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, would highly recommend!

Always love coming to this unpretentious Balmain pub. Dogs welcome. Food always great. Gorgeous courtyard for summer days and great inside. The Christmas treat was special.

We had a great New Year's lunch. The service was fast. The only thing I didn't like is the small size of the bathrooms.

Nice pub area to relax. However the chicken schnitzel tasted unpleasant. I thought it was the batter but the taste was also in the chicken. Pub schnitzel isn't hard to get right though it might have just been mine that was bad that day. Also asked for mushroom sauce, don't know exactly what sauce I got, but it wasn't mushroom (see picture).

Decent pub. Inside and outside seating, devoted and pleasant staff, extensive range of drinks and food fresh and tasty. Chicken schnitzel was as it should be. Was a busy night but all worked out well.
